On February 7, 2008, the Imperial Sugar Refinery explosion took lives of 14 people and injured many more. Twenty people were sent to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in augusta because of the extent of their injuries. Many families were changed forever in the blink of an eye.

Just a few shirt weeks after this tragedy, the Red Knights pulled together, with help from other motorcycling clubs and businesses, and did a Poker Run on March 30, 2008, aptly titled "The Sugar Run". Riders showed up in support from all over the state and the Eastern Seaboard, over 800 registered participants. This ride raised over $13,000 through entry fees, 50/50 raffles, and door prizes, as well as corporate and private donations. The money went direectly to the families to help with their everyday expenses.

In 2009, we raised $2,200 for the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.

On March 6, 2010, we raised another $2,200 for the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta.
